I’m into the games for a few weeks already and it’s great! 👍
But I feel like the game is a little bit empty and there’s nothing to do besides collecting resources and that. So I made some suggestions that would be awesome to see in-game that could lure the player even more!
These are mainly around geographical/weather suggestions (hence the title). I try to keep these suggestions as close to what the game is and messoamerica as possible. I may not know if some of these are in-game so someone could correct me on that.

  • Natural disasters should be caused naturally. I did some research and the common ones are volcanic eruptions, floods, droughts and earthquakes. They leave a huge impact on the village based on the research, so maybe the player could prevent these? I was thinking about them being timed events so the player would get to meet specific requirements like sacrifices, resources, etc. This sounds too much and would be buggy, but seeing this in-game would be cool.
  • Weather should be added. Researched and rain is very scarce in messoamerica so it can have benefits to the players’ villages while being very rare. Maybe it could speed up cycle productions and do something beneficial? I would love to see this in-game.

Huge and dramatic calamities would look fantastic for sure, but we still have to advise how much of a game breaker that could prove to be.

The pace in Sacrifices is relatively quiet and adding such explosive events could maybe alter the rhythm, don't you think?

All in all, we might have been on the beginning of a reflection around some light seasonal modifications already 😉
